Bishop’s Stortford choir The Harmonaires put on summer recital celebrating work of female composers and lyricists
A Bishop’s Stortford choir will be celebrating the music of female composers and lyricists at a summer evening recital this weekend.
The audience at The Harmonaires’ concert will be treated to a broad range of genres and can discover new classics from composers such as Quartel, Daley, Simons, Perry and more.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of the charity Refuge, supporting women and children. Tickets to the recital at Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, South Street, on Saturday July 13 from 7pm are £10 (free for children) and can be obtained online from www.theharmonaireschoir.com.
The Harmonaires was formed just over nine years ago by musical director Josie Cowley and goes from strength to strength, singing in cathedrals as well as performing fundraising concerts locally.
