Sawbridgeworth's twin town tribute is a sign of the times

Sawbridgeworth will soon have a new town twinning sign – to match one members saw on a visit to Moosburg in Germany in October.

The sign in the Bavarian town, which is 10 minutes from Munich airport, commemorates the link between the two towns and is minus the European Union stars, pending the UK’s exit on January 31.

Sawbridgeworth Town Twinning Association chairman David Royle said the link with French twin town Bry-sur-Marne was commemorated in Bry with a stone “plaque” in front of the town hall.
