CCTV appeal following common assault in South Street, Bishop’s Stortford
Police investigating a common assault on a woman in Bishop’s Stortford town centre have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify.
The incident happened in South Street at around 3.05pm on the afternoon of Wednesday March 13.
A police spokesman said: “It is reported that the victim was made to feel uncomfortable by a man who was asking her age and then grabbed a lanyard that was around her neck. The victim did not sustain any injuries.”
Sgt Andy Crow, of the Bishop’s Stortford neighbourhood policing team, said: “I am appealing to the public with a hope of identifying this man who was believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident and may have information to support our investigation.
