New logo signals carbon neutral goal for Stansted Airport College
Stansted Airport College has signalled its support for a carbon-neutral future by rebranding its logo.
The campus at the Uttlesford aviation hub has been joined in its green initiative, swapping its cerise and blue livery, by parent organisation Harlow College.
The £11m airport further education facility opened in September 2018 to teach technical and vocational skills.
A spokesman said: “Harlow College and Stansted Airport College are committed to playing a full role in meeting the Government’s target to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
“Airport and aircraft operations will change radically in the future, and to meet Stansted’s target to make its operations net zero by 2038, we are embarking on a programme of carbon reduction.
“Developing the ‘green' skills that are needed will require changes to leadership and governance; learning, teaching and research; data collection; estates and operations; and partnerships and engagements.
“To mark the beginning of our new carbon reduction journey, we are pleased to celebrate this by rebranding our corporate logos to reflect our intentions. Starting with our Stansted Airport College logo, we have changed the colours to reflect our pledge to be a more sustainable college and our commitment to the environment.”
