Search engine optimisation business Eighteen opens Bishop’s Stortford office

A businessman from Bishop’s Stortford has brought his search engine optimisation firm to his hometown as part of an expansion strategy.

Michael Friend, who runs Eighteen, has opened a branch at Launchpad in Link Road having co-founded the company in Manchester with Ronnie Cane.

The expansion also includes the appointment of Chris Newstead, who has more than 20 years’ experience of digital marketing, as growth director.

“Options for specialist digital marketing support are often limited locally. Businesses have to rely on large, non-specialist agencies where they receive a generic and impersonal service at a high cost,” said Friend, whose mother Renee Friend has volunteered for Isabel Hospice for 35 years.

“Eighteen aims to change that narrative by offering personalised, results-driven solutions right here in Bishop’s Stortford.”

“I’m proud to bring our expertise back home and support local businesses in Bishop’s Stortford.

“With Chris Newstead at the helm, we’re well-positioned to drive growth and unlock new opportunities for businesses in the area.”

Newstead, who is also from Stortford, has helped organisations of all sizes transform their businesses and achieve rapid growth.

“The opportunity to lead the launch of Eighteen’s agency in Bishop’s Stortford is incredibly exciting,” he said.

“We can’t wait to empower businesses in the town with tailored SEO solutions that will help them grow, fast.

“We work closely with each client to understand their unique goals and develop strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.

“Our goal is simple: get them to the top of Google, drive new customers and, ultimately, help them thrive.”
